First Renewal Of An Extension Of Stay From Marriage

Featured Replies

60 days before the end of the actual extension, time to check everything.

  • The renewal must be filed within the last 30 days.
  • 40k bahts income per month or 400k bahts on a personal Thai bank account for at least 2 (3?) months, with the bank book AND a letter from the bank (it was possible to do with a shared bank account last year).
  • Nothing else or do I need to re-show all the papers from the first time? If so, any update of the list?

By the way, I'm in Bangkok and will do in their new office I guess. Anything special for Bangkok?

Thanks for your inputs

Probably money 3 months in the bank. Has to be your Bank Account or Income. Not joint.

Marriage Certificate. Wife's ID Card and House Book.

Take the Wife to be interviewed. Passport size photo.

Take the photos of you and your Wife at home plus a map showing the way to your house. Just in case.

Probably the paperwork from the amphur where you were married. Kor Dor 2 or something like that. (Never seen one myself)

See Here

Aren't some places asking for a copy of the record at the amphur office where your marriage was registered as well LB?

Yes. Was editing as you were typing. :)
