Just To Be Sure

Featured Replies

hi forum-ers

I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the information on Thaivisa! So I just want to be sure about something:

I currently have a 60 day single entry tourist visa that expires on Oct. 2. I plan on extending for another 30 days and will go to immigration sometime next week. Then, I'm going to India for 10 days on Oct. 16. I plan to come back to Thailand on Oct. 25 without a tourist visa and just the 30 days visa exempt, flying in. Then I'll go to Laos for 5-6 days around Nov. 21. After which, I plan to fly back in again for another month in Thailand, and then fly out to India again on Dec. 20th, and stay (moving there, not planning on coming back to Thailand again). Does this plan work? Can I do 2 30-day visa exempt entries after a 90-day tourist visa stay?

I'm on holiday but also researching a historical novel.

thanks for any help

Your only problem may be the airline not letting you on the flight without a visa unless you have an onward flight ticket within 30 days of arrival.

Yes, your plan will work and there shouldn't be any problem with it.

A problem could arise if you don't have a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days, as the airline might refuse to take you. That shouldn't be a problem flying in from Laos. But I'm not sure about flying in from India. Will deped on the airline. Some check, some don't.
