Hi..my father plans on visiting my brother and i, this coming December. I'm on a non-imm based on marriage and my brother has a non-imm B w/work permit. He'd like to stay for up to half a year, but with all the new messed up visa rules i'm not sure what his options are. Any ideas?

On a different note, i'm going to do my extension this wednesday, i have almost everything done, but not sure about this 'bank letter'. What exactly is it??? and How do i ask for it?

Your father can apply for a multiple entry Non O from Hull, Uk based on visiting family/friends. I believe even if your father is not from Uk he may be able to apply at Hull as my Danish friend has done. FYI http://www.thaiconsul-uk.com/

the letter from the bank is to show you have 400,000baht deposited for last 3 months or 2months if first application for marriage visa

All the letter has to do is mention the account name, amount in the account and the date. It is signed by a branch manager and often costs 200 baht. They need to know to address it to Immigration and they may have to freeze your account that day (or date it the prior day). You have to present bank book/copies along with the letter which will show account balance above the required level for the time period required.

One more question..........can the letter come from any branch or only the original branch?

Hqs or the branch account with is normal - others are not likely to want to write.
