CWMcMurray Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Thailand Nation’s Top 7 Institutions to Become ‘National Research Universities’ The seven Thai universities that appeared in the Top 500 of the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings in 2008 have qualified to become national research universities. The initiative to develop Thailand's leading institutions has been approved by the cabinet, and the government will spend Bhat 12 billion (US$ 330 million) in developing it. The seven universities are: Chulalongkorn, Mahidol, Kasetsart, Thammasat, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen and Prince of Songkla.
