Rash

Featured Replies

Now I am not a big fat person with big legs actually I am quiet slim

apart form the little potbelly I have But I do prespire a lot

So ones a year I get a very nasty rash between my legs like I have now.

I have tried every thing ( like baby powder, vasiline and so on )

But I can't rid of it

It is getting me very anoyed now and it very painful.

So does anybody know what I can use ?

Cream, powder, or what else oh and don't tell me to see a quack all I get

there is they usual stuff like anti biotics and so on.

Any suggestions?

what I use is Clotrimazole, you can get it at any thai drug store. Its a broad-spectrum antifugal cream. It does wonders for my rash, knock it right out in no time.

you ought be kidding I guess I have a rash on my legs not on my genitals also not any where

on my body not nose not mouth I do not have unprotected sex In a matter of speaking I have no sex at all, thanks for being so concerned

^Just an idea, by the way herpes outbreaks do not need to be in the genital area. (FYI)

Once a year thing is pretty odd..... anything you do differently now compared to the rest of the year when you have no outbreaks?

No when I said I have it one's a year I did not mean every year I had it the last time a year ago

and no I do not anything different then I normally do I just get it when it is hot and I sweat, by the way I only had it last year for the first time, never before.

it's most likely fungal jock itch. Use a topical antifungal without steroids. This is important as a steroid will make it grow. Also if the fungus has really dug in then not a bad idea to take a anti fungal tablet like fungazol for 5 days. All the pharmacies carry both. Unfortunately if the infection has gotten a strong hold it will be easy to come back or might migrate to other body areas. For a month or so be vigilant keeping it talc'd and clean. Also helpful to get some direct sunlight for 15 minutes a day to further discourage fungal growth.

Also if a person is prone to fungal infections then most likely they have candida overgrowth in their digestive system. It's helpful to perform anti candida protocols like colon cleanses, sugar/alcohol reduction and probiotics to displace the unfavorable bacteria. Feeding sugar and alcohol simply grows more candida and fungus in the body. A healthy balanced digestive system will greatly reduce fungal skin infections and infections in general.

Hope that helps.

Although I don't get a rash, I do get jock itch fairly regularly here, just as I did in the summer back in the States. Quite by accident I discovered that if I swim fairly regularly (say 3 times per week) in a chlorinated pool, problem solved.

You could try "Zeasorb AF", it is a highly absorbent powder _ (methylcellulose?) with an antifungal.

Good luck!

There have been some other threads here on the same topic.

I had the same thing, tried the anti fungal medications, anti rashes, creams, etc. Finally went to the doctor and it turns out I had a fungal infection that can be picked up from being around an animal even.. they gave me medication called "sporal" and had to take two pills twice a day for two weeks, and it finally killed it. They tested a toe nail that was looking off, and that tested positive for a fungal infection as well, so I have to take the medication for five months, two pills two times a day for two weeks, stop two weeks, repeat.

If you don't get it checked out, it will probably just get worse.

Try CANESTEN which is a broad spectrum antifungal cream and can be purchased at most Pharmacies.

Assuming your in Thailand a 20g tube costs around 160 baht.

I reckon you may be getting what I used to get when in LoS.

Simple heat rash.....

Had it bad in Singers, but could not find any powder until back in LoS.

I treat is with "Protex - Cooling powder.", available most any mom and pop shop or any big store.

There is a container in my, carry everywhere, everyday bag, all the time now.

Simple dusting, anytime, under arms, betwixt the legs, girls, between the boobs, no more problems.

Cheap as, last lot was a double pack for 80 baht.

Brilliant stuff, feels like ice cooling.

BEWARE, do NOT dust ya family jewels, VERY uncomfortable for awhile.

Look for the one with DEO 12 on the label, has neat perfume, deoderant.
