Lopburi hit by summer storm

LOPBURI: -- Thailand's central province of Lopburi was hit by a strong summer storm Friday evening, but there were no reports of any casualties.

The summer storm caused an eight-hour blackout, and a collapse of trees and more than a dozen of power polls, according to local journalists.

Many villages in the province's Muang district were affected by the summer storm, said the journalists.

However, no households were damaged and there were no reports of any casualties, either.
