The majority of images being posted in Photography & the Arts etc

are coming directly into the forum full size - no thumbnail

How is it done? I have a mac + firefox

They are being served from an external server and not a Thaivisa attachment. When you open a post to reply there is an icon just above that shows Insert Image when you hover your mouse over it. Right click on the remote image and copy image location, then paste into the box (the url you copied) that shows when you click on the Insert Image icon.

Hi Members,

Please read this if you have problems posting photos on this forum.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

P.S. Sould you choose to use the 'Link my photo' to this forum make sure that your web-page is able to do this, i.e. 'enable links' :D and the extention must end with .jpg or .bmp :)

I have followed all the above information - however after i click OK at the end

of the process i'm told that i have tried to link into a website that does not

permit links - so what have i done wrong and where is "enable links"

thankyou

Some sites will block attempts to link images remotely for copyright and bandwidth issues. Try another site to link the image into here.

Here is a sample of the steps. The first image is a snapshot of the page I am getting the image from. Right click (FF) and select Copy Image Location. Now in the reply box, image two below, paste the url you copied from the procedure above.

1. Is it your own web-page?

2. If so go into your profile page and see if there is a way to "enable links".

3. If not then

Try another site to link the image into here.
as 'Tywais' mentioned :)

4. PM me if you still have problems as I always link my own photos from Pbase.com :D

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

So what is/was your web-site host that you tried to link your photos to our forum?

This would help a bit to identify your probelm.. :D

Noticed that you did manage to link your photos in our 'Challenge #8' after your first post on this thread. :)

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D
