Shipping A Banyaon Dog To Samui

Featured Replies

Hi.

I just bought a Banyaon dog from Chatuchak market in Bangkok.

Has anyone had any experience in shipping a dog to the Islands (Koh Samui)

That dog looks ill!...

Matt.

Is that dog chewing on it's own leg...?

What film is that dog from?

Dunno, but this one must be from the same litter...

He is not from a film, he is a northern Thai hill tribe dog, known as a Banyaon.

Update:

I have just spoken to Bangkok Airways and have been informed of their airline pet policy. I can send my dog as checked baggage in a crate. About 3000THB.

Looking forward to my dog being down in Lamai beach very soon

That's a killing. A neighbor recently shipped two five-month-old pups in one crate to Manila and he paid less than 1,000THB.

Really? Oddly enough because that photo looks exactly like the dog that won the worlds ugliest dog contest last year.

Sam, the Chinese Crested

And even more astonishing is the fact that the background buildings in your dog's photo identically match those in the photo of Sam. Weird. eh?

Sam has a twin ... Somchai ... great now everyone knows ...

Looks like we will have to move to a new secret location.

Thanks Sbk.

ps. Has anyone been to Vietnam lately? If so do they know about the entry restrictions (if any) that apply to Thai dogs.

And furthermore Sbk, if it is Sam (which it isn't), how could I have taken this photo of him this morning at MBK where I took him (Somchai) to buy a fake Dolce and Gabbana diamond encrusted collar.
