One 2 call

Featured Replies

Just wondering, I intend to go and work in Laos. I will travel every six weeks back to LOS, anyone can confirm one 2 call will work over there?  ???

Short answer: No

Long answer: Yes, if you sign up for International rooming with AIS.

Sorry George, I just heard that 1 2 call will work in Laos. The problem is you cant top up from there and you must specify for use in Laos? I wait your reply.

1 2 call will work in Laos but reception is sporadic.

I used it intermitently in Vientienne. Coverage is poor so you can go from one end of a street to another and watch the signal fade in and out.

Agree, but did you specify your card should work in Laos?

ThaiAdventure

The reason reception is sparodic is because you are actually picking up a Thai signal -  "TH GSM" or such - this happens mainly near the Mekong river. Obviously this is without specifing "for use in Laos" as pschef suggested (This I know nothing about).

On a side note pschef, whats the score with working and living in Laos? It's something I have been considering for some time, but haven't actually got around to doing anything about...

I have been contracted from Thailand by an International company, the work is catering for a large contruction project.

I am a catering manager, should be for about 2 years. I will be in and out of Thailand every 6 weeks, for vacation time that is. wish me luck
