Thai Passport Renewal Time?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just a quick question about renewing Thai national's passport in BKK.

Some places seem to suggest 2 working days before we can pick up the new one. But, i seem to remember something about an "express service"?

Anybody know if this is still available, and for how much?

Thanks

Never heard about the express service. I now that in stead of picking-up the passport you can have it send to your house. Cost is 30 baht.

More infor about Thai passports here: http://www.mfa.go.th/web/473.php?id=3167

Might want to call them about any express service.

Yes there is an express service but apparently they are suspending it as of 01.10.09.

Are you sure? I can't read the Thai part, so it may be in there, but the announcement in English on top of the page only says no more express service for legalisation of documents!

Are you sure?

No I'm not sure, but when we got our son's PP in Sep.'07 we were also offered the express service (next day collection of PP) at an additional cost. No legalization of documents was required in our case and we did not bother about the express service.

As you said, the OP should call them and ask.

Thanks for the replies guys.

We were just trying to gain a couple of days before we apply for a Settlement visa to the UK. I'll ask my gf to give them a call, like you say.
