Laos Visa In Nong Khai On A Holiday

Featured Replies

I was invited to go see the Naga Fireball on the 4-5 October and i was planning to cross using my O visa. Can i cross on this day? Or do i need to wait to Monday? I was planning to cross on Sunday day.

Of course you can, the border open everyday, this is not a supermarket!

Have a nice trip

I just heard some stories that the lao border side close early or they want some money when its holiday. I do not have a visa so i guess i have get one on the border. Supermarkets in Thailand is open every day btw :)

You are aware that it is almost impossible to travel during that period - traffic is backed up to Bangkok and all hotels full everywhere. Good luck.

my friends have a house but yes i know thanks

Just be aware it may be a long-long line at border - might be worthwhile to obtain visa early.

I think the fireballs are on October 2 this year. Google "fireballs Naga." I would hate to see you go all the way up there just to miss the action.
