Rimmer
Pattaya, September 22 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Late on Monday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sumreun from Pattaya Police Station was called to a house at the Piemsuk Villas in South Pattaya to deal with a foreign fatality. Inside the bedroom was the badly decomposed body of Mr. Pierre Maurice Thepaut aged 66 from France. His girlfriend of 9 years, Khun Kumpong aged 40 found the body after returning from a trip to see a cousin. She left on 30th August and would speak with Mr. Thepaut every day, however last week she failed to contact him as she was busy. Upon her return to the house she noticed a foul odor and subsequently discovered the body which was removed from the house and taken for a post mortem examination to determine the cause of death which remains a mystery for now. The French Embassy in Bangkok are aware of the death. Source: http://www.pattayaone.net/news/2009/septem...2_09_52_3.shtml

john b good
however last week she failed to contact him as she was busy Right, and he died not long after... That's the logic that the Thai police would use BUT, who is to say that he "did not die, not long after" the last time that they did in fact speak (which was when or how many days before she arrived home) Edited September 23, 2009 by john b good

oevna
BUT, who is to say that he "did not die, not long after" the last time that they did in fact speak (which was when or how many days before she arrived home) The way I read the article ("last week she failed to contact him"), she did not contact him at all during the week of September 13-19, which means she probably called him on Saturday the 12th or Sunday the 13th latest. If he died shortly thereafter, that would be consistent with the condition in which he was found. RIP Mr. Thepaut.

britmaveric
Often the stories are translated wrong.. maybe thats the case now? It does seem odd if she called him always then suddenly stops because she is too busy?
