1 Year Visa From Work Permit

Featured Replies

i'm from Vietnam, who working in Thai company. i just got a work permit book that will expire on 7 October, 2009. i need to do 1 year visa which mean 1 year work permit. How can i do it. Where should i go (the iimmigration office in Suan Plu or on Chaeng Wattana road)? What documents should i carry before go there? Please help me, i would like to go there at the end of this month. Thanks

Work permit has nothing to do with Immigration. You have to visit labor office for that. Only later can you obtain one year extension of stay from Immigration (if you qualify).

You have to go to your local Labour Office to renew your work permit and will need to provide:

1) Up to date company registration certificate from DBD

2) Up to date company shareholders list from DBD

3) Latest company audited accounts

4) Application form

5) WP application fee

6) Your latest personal thai income tax return (if available)

7) Your employment contract (some offices ask for this)

8) Your passport

9) Your work permit

actually, the Thai labor union tell me to go to Thai Immigration in Bangkok for getting 1 year visa. So i would like to know which places i should go, Soi Suan Plu or Chang Wattana Rd. then i can expanse my Work permit book.

All Immigration matters for you will be at Chang Wattana from 28 September.
