Non-imm B Second Extension Without Leaving Thailand

Featured Replies

This may be a commonly asked question on this forum, but I cannot find a direct answer so I apologize if it is a repost. I'm on a Non-Imm B Visa which I originally obtained in Canada and then extended for 1 year upon arrival in Thailand after receiving a work permit. It will expire in a couple of weeks, and I would like to extend it again without leaving Thailand if possible. What documentation do I require to accomplish this? I called Immigration directly and they said I only need my work permit, but many other sources, including some on this website, say that I need literally dozens of documents (including photographs of every employee at the company I am working at? That doesn't seem right).

Note that there are a few extra complications in my case:

- I just recently changed jobs. I have returned my old work permit to the DOE and received a new one already

- I only have 1 blank page remaining on my passport, and this is the primary reason I would like to avoid leaving the country (avoid filling with entry/exit stamps)

- In the event that the "1 blank page left" causes me problems at the Immigration Bureau, it is going to take me longer to receive a new passport from my embassy than I have until my visa expires - in that case is it possible to get a special extension for a week or so just until I receive a new passport?

Thank you kindly in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

You will just need to show the same (kind of) documents you provided immigration when you asked for your first extension. That inclludes the work permit and tax documents proving your income. 1 page is enough for the etension.
