If you enter Thailand on a multiple entry NON O visa which was granted on the basis of doing volunteer work (letter provided etc ) BUT when you got to Thailand you didnt actually do the volunteer work (maybe due to the hassle of getting a work permit!)- would the Non O visa still be valid for the 12 months?

I doubt very much that you will get this visa in Pretoria based on the information on their website.

If you enter on a Non Imm Visa of any type you can stay.

As said whether Pretoria will issue is another matter.
