Urgent! Going On Holiday Abroad With A Child But Without The Mother

Featured Replies

I have planned a holiday to Bali together with my wife and my child (7 years old).

Normaly, we shall leave on September 30th.

My wife has let me know that she will not be able to go to Bali and will stay in her village with her mam.

Is it possible to go on holiday with my child (without the mother) and how to proceed?

Does other members have tried to travel abroad with w child without the mother, and have they succeed to pass Thai Immigration?

TIA

:) I came into Thailand from the US with just my Thai daughter this summer, she was 6. My wife joined us later. She has both a Thai and US passport. I also had her original Thai birth certificate with me as the father even though she has my last name. We came in through the line for Thai Nationals, and they stamped me in too. The Immigration officer was vey nice and didn't qustion anything . He did have her come around so that he could compare her to her passport picture.

Going out of Thailand my wife was with us. I think if you have the passports and birrh certicate and politely explain the situation you should have no problems.
