Visa Run

Getting from Samui to Penang by bus, fly 2 phuket and bus to Samui.

Would this be the cheapest way and what would you guess for price.

I was thinking take coach to Surat-->Hat Yai || 270 baht (boat inclusive) Arrives 15:30

Hat Yai-->Penang || 280 baht Leaves 16:30 (will that small 1 hour gap give me problems?)

Penang--> Phuket (30day stamp) BAHT 1429

Phuket--> Samui || 375 Baht

Total price: 2354 Baht = 48 Euro

Prices bus now known. Anyone know a better solution or have I got my perfect run?

Thanks in advance.

Nathon

There is a bus and Mini Bus service from Nathon to Penang.

You may have to change in HadYai. A long time since I did it but it is not expensive.

The main Bus Station in Nathon will sell you a ticket for the complete journey.

No personal experience but just an idea:

How about catching the BKK-Butterworth (Penang) train in Surat Thani?

I cant seem to edit anymore, but the train seems to be 362 baht. But if anybody can get it clearer it would be appreciated because I have trouble figuring out these railways
