South of Chiangmai, about half way to Hang Dong, there has been rolling thunder for about half an hour and it just now started raining. Of course I was planning to BBQ this evening.

Aahhh finally.... a nice rain shower and a cool breeze. Sansai is refreshed! I guess everybody was looking forward to it. Let's hope it has doused some of the fires out there in the fields.

That was certainly pleasant... and about time. Of course it happened just as I was supposed to go to a meeting. I'm going to be an hour late. I hate riding motorcycle in the rain after a hot spell. The roads are pretty slippery and the Thai drivers don't seem to care. Road spray I can live with. Dumping a bike in city traffic is not fun.

I wonder if the 1/2 hour rain will clear the air. It certainly cooled things down.

I think all you guys who washed your cars and cleaned your windows yesterday and today did the trick.

I hear it sticks better to colourful postage stamps.

After lots of dark-clouds & distant thunder, before sunset in Mae-Jo, we finally had a few heavy drops, then some more, and finally at least 30 minutes of wonderful rain, now slowly easing-off.

That's going to make the air fresh & clean for a week or more !

Perhaps I'm easily-pleased, but doncha just gotta love rain ?

Still a slight drizzle on Nimman, the air is filled with ozone instead of smoke, and Doi Suthep is once again visible from my balcony!!!!!

The curtain went up on Act 2 in Doi Saket about 10 minutes ago. I just love that sound.

Wow, that's a lot! Our ground barely got wet.

This is GREAT! Only concern is that it came out of the direction of Mae Hong Son.. But the air seems clearer already, and the breeze is nice.. Opened all windows across from each other.. lovely!
