How Much For Ed Visa

Featured Replies

hello all i would like to know how much cost for multiply entry ED VISA at the thai embassy in Vientiane

Vientiane does not issue multiple entry visas, and suspect you will not obtain in the region. Vientiane will issue single entry Non-ED visa with letter from the school, and you can then obtain 90 day extensions at immigration with supporting paperwork from the school. Cost, not sure, but last report in Dec 2007 mentioned 2,000 baht fee at Vientiane.

thank you so much for your repplie so question i have to go canada on april 1 day before i leave i have to go to immigration ask for re entry permit right

If at that time you are on Non-ED visa, then obtaining a re-entry permit would indeed keep the permission to stay at that time alive. Note that the requirement for language schools are minimum of 4 hours study a week, so if out of the country you are going to have to make up the lost hours.

Are you returning before your current permitted to stay until stamp? A re-entry permit only keeps that date alive - it does not add any time. And you should get it early (anytime after you have the permitted to stay stamp in your passport that you want to keep alive).

Im already on an ED visa from studying at university here. However I have now completed my studies and now wish to start studying at a Thai language school. Does this mean I need to re-apply for a new ed visa?

If a visa you can likely extend it for the new school. If it is really an extension of stay rather than a 90 day visa entry you will probably have to obtain a new visa.

hi again lopburi when its the best time for applie for re entry permit to keep my visa a live i have to go see my familly on april 19 come back thailand may 4 when its the best time to applie 1 weeks or 2 before thanks again

If you know you will have travel do it now (when you have final extension stamp). That way if you have to travel in an emergency, or are near the border and want to do some shopping, it will be there to use and you can always obtain another later.
