I have both Australian and UK citizenship and also both passports. I have been seperated from my Thai wife for almost eight years but she refuses me a divorce, she lives in Australia with our son. I have had a Thai partner here in Thailand for the past seven years or so and we have a nearly three year old daughter born here in Thailand but has had Australian citizenship almost all her life. I worked and payed taxes in Australia for more than 25 years and now receive the seniors pension. My question is this, is she entitled to the Australian child benefit, I think this may be refered to as tax credits A and B in Australia. My understanding is that if my daughter and I as the father were to live in Australia for three months then she would qualify. Any one out there with a similar situation who may be able to give me the facts? Thanks in advance.
