Where can you get some good Lasagna here in Bangkok? Also Pizzas?? Help ?

Robbie, good question but you are opening up a can of worms especially with the pizza. Perhaps if you tell us your preferred pizza style (thin, deep dish, etc) we can avoid a huge debate on the merits of each.

Lasagna - not the Landmark! They do terrific food there overall but the lasagna is not one of them. Don't say I didn't warn ya. :)

Thanks for the info and that would be the thin crust pizza. There is a terrific Italian Rest. in Pattaya on beach road near Soi. 6 they used to be near Soi.1 beach road. I think it is the Ill Tratorio? They make the crust fresh when you order and it is the real deal.

Lasagna --> Viva Vino on Sukumvit Soi 22, next to Hotel Grand Mercure Park Avenue.

Their lasagna tastes OK (no better than I make at home though) but don't go there hungry. I nibbled on mine like a little mouse yet was still finished long before my companions had even finished half their pizzas. Poor value at almost 300 baht.

I found this link last night regarding food delivery in Bangkok. It has a link to my favorite pizza delivery company...Pizza Mania. I usually order the Erotica (just a normal pizza, but tastes great).

For lasagna I like Vino on Soi Sala Daeng which is right beside Zanotti and I would guess it would be the same at Zanotti because it's the same owner. Vino also makes very good pizza.

Other good places for pizza would be Aldo's in The Ascott on Sathorn and someone else has mentioned Basilico which is also very good.

Theres a resturant below the city lodge hotel on sukhumvit 7? Near nana bts - I seem to recall that they did a good lasagne, but that was about 3 years ago -

I think it's Soi 9.

Ingredients: for the lasagne: 250 g of chestnut flour, 200 g of wheat flour, 5 eggs. For the seasoning: 200 g of chestnuts, 200 g thick-cut ham, 1/2 litre of milk, 80 g of butter, salt, bay leafs, nutmeg, 2 tbsp. of cream, 100 g of Parmesan.

Preparation: mix the two flours, add the eggs and, if needed, a little water to bind; knead the dough enough time to obtain a stretchy ball, not too soft, then roll it out into a thin layer and cut 12 lasagna squares. Peel the chestnuts and remove the inside skins, then boil them in the milk seasoned with a pinch of salt and one bay leaf. Sauté the diced ham in a little butter, add the thoroughly drained chestnuts, a touch of nutmeg and leave it to season for some minutes. Remove the chestnuts and the ham from the stock, filter it, then reduce it by adding two tbsp. of cream. Place the ham and chestnuts back into the saucepan, keeping some whole ones for decoration. Boil the lasagne on the hard side in salted water. Prepare single hot plates: lay one sheet of lasagna on each plate, then spread the sauce and lay one sheet of lasagna on top, sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan and melted butter, decorate with some whole chestnuts and serve piping hot.

The sister of a friend claimed the best lasagna she'd ever eaten - and she's been to Italy - was at Basilico, Sukhumvit 33 (also Soi 20, as Xonax said).

Their pizza is also very good. I also like Pizzanotti, the delivery arm of Zanotti, Sala Daeng. The last pizza I had was at Via Vie, Sukhumvit 8, and although the crust was ok I found the sauce too sweet.
