The Education Minister has announced a Crack Down on backwardness! In order to catch up to other countries which are enjoying economic opportunities, they will begin teaching English as the main language as is done in the Philippines, for example.

He noted he weighed the argument of protecting cultural identity against the need to protect from falling behind in the World.

This will roll out in all schools and jurisdictions, not just the 'Elite' schools. He said the World Community will recognize and have more trust in a Nation that creates opportunity for all is citizens.

The Filipinos' EdgeThe Industry mainly caters to markets from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and other western countries[3]. Call center agents are obliged to acquire the foreign accent, study the geography and culture of these foreign countries. Being the third largest English speaking country in the world, the Philippines is considered to be one of the most competitive call center destinations.

Other factors that make the country attractive to foreign companies are the economical class A office spaces, better power, information technology(IT), telephony and telecommunications infrastructure, good quality but affordable labor force and the support the government is all too willing to extend to these foreign investors

Ministry of Crackdowns to be created! In a crackdown on crackdowns, the Government has created an umbrella ministry to keep track of the effectiveness of government crackdowns.

They want to avoid 'losing face' with their citizens and the world after many recent Government crackdowns appeared to be largely swept aside.

From crackdowns on airport gangs, to crackdowns on loan sharking, to crackdowns on bar girls touting outside the premises, to crackdowns on pirated DVDs, to crackdowns on unregistered bikes, to crackdowns on drinking and driving, to crackdown on internet flesh marketing by students, to crackdowns on counterfeit batteries, to crackdowns on pedophiles, to crack downs on aggressive tailors, to crackdowns on illegal taxis, to crackdowns on corrupt BIB; the Government is worried it begins to look inept when these crackdowns don't work.

In the future any government or police agency will have to have their crackdowns reviewed by the Minister of Crackdowns and show how they Plan to be effective in carrying out the crackdown.
