I like to uninstall Media player 11 yes I know I go to add remove programs

and try to uninstall it, tried many times but it won't let me do it

it just rolls it back to an older version ( apparently ) but when I go back

to check 11 is still on there :D I've been asked to validate my version

of windows and I am 99% sure it is a copy( since I had it re installed )

Tried to install media player 9 but it won't let me do it either because

I do have 11 on there. So what can I do to get rid on Media player 11?

Any suggestions ? :)

Try looking at the sub-items under the Windows Software Updates. Uninstall everything that is related to media player.

Yes I did try that but it won't even let me uninstall the other ones :)

Give this a go.

Google for a small program called xpy and download.

Unzip and run the executable.

Expand the mark for Windows Media Player.

Choose the option for "Allow Uninstallation of WMP"

Close and then uninstall the player.

Does WMP bother you that much that you'd like to totally uninstall it? Got to warn you that some media in IE or FF would need WMP to play.

Why not just set VLC or whatever player you are using as the default player and let WMP sit there.

XPLite can help you if you truly insist.

Can some one pls help me with this problem :)

With running internet connections at install and not used firewalls to block programms afterwards it gets harder and harder to use copies. But I think if we help you to solve your problem it might be against the forum rules.
