I would recommend if anyone is thinking of doing the Tibet-Hindustan Hwy that they go as late in season as possible (late September). Head up the Rotang pass first to get it out of the way (If you get hit with snow, you will be literally stuck).

Leh and Ladakh are great in the summer months.

Weather is a nice break from tropics. This is my 3rd trip to N. India.
