Phuket Police Rule Out Murder In Aussie Tourist’s Death

I personally know the deceased, is it not enough that the wife and kids have to deal with the death of their loved one, without being accused of murder by people on this forum!!!

Brian loved his wife and children, I am sure everyone has done things that regret, and I am sure this is the case here!

Please show some respect, like if it was your family and you had to read this!

Yes, you are right. For what it's worth (and I know it's not worth very much), I don't think that anyone here actually believes that Brian's wife is guilty of murder.

If you had more history on this forum, it would be clear that those comments were sarcastic, and were meant to ridicule certain posters on this forum who automatically jump to the same conclusions when presented with a case like this (such as that the victim must have been murdered by his wife, who stands to gain financially from a generous life insurance policy, etc.).

The comments were insensitive, but apparently not directed at anyone actually involved in the case. I know it's hard to imagine that someone would think it appropriate to vent their grudges in a setting like this, but then this is a public internet forum, and the peanut gallery consists of potentially any and all people on the planet with an internet connection.

My condolences to Brian's family and friends, including you. May he rest in peace. I hope that the circumstances of his death are discovered quickly, so that they (and you) can get some closure on this issue.

I know a guy about 50 years old who was using unprescribed Viagra and generic Viagra for a few years quite regularly and he died of a heart attack after ingesting some. These things can happen. Not speculating that this happened in this case but people do die without being murdered by klatoeys or bargirls.

As it's Patong, Phuket, ....how can observers be sure it was women and not katoy - who visited the man's room? Either way, RIP dude.

"it was women and not katoy". What has that go to do with anything. Unless you are homophobic.

Am not homophobic, but am katoyphobic - there's a difference. The point was, in my earlier post, if police are attempting an investigation (which is a stretch in itself), it would help to know the gender of the suspects.

No signs of injury, therefore died of natural means? How about murder by suffocating with pillow?

Because, suffocation usually leaves a few clues like cyanosis and petechiae etc. Not full proof, but a strong indicator. If the deceased had an underlying cardiovascular condition it may very well have been natural.

You're assuming Thai forensic investigators can find subtle physiological indications as you described. That's a big assumption. Even so, a cardio condition seems a likely explanation, possibly fueled by a Viagra-type chemical.

As Donald Duck might say, "When you gotta go, you gotta go."

I have to laugh at all the amateur detectives out again.

45 year old absconds from wife & checks into a room with 2 nubile young hookers.

45 year old dies in room. Hookers don't hang about waiting for the police.

No conclusion whatsoever can be drawn from this except that it is indeed a double blow to the guys wife.
