Just wondered what make the clubs are and the condition in which they are in.

Had a friend come up last month and rented clubs. Nice set of Callaways if I remember correctly. Shoes not so sure. He played in sneakers. Cost was 6-700bhat

Shoes = 300 (?)

Buggy = 600

Highlands Chiang Mai is not a place to enjoy. Run to pander to Thais not for farangs who are treated as 2nd class citizens. Poor management and even worse service. You will be better going elsewhere.

In my opinion it is the best run course in the North (recently selected by Asian Golf Monthly as the third best course in Thailand) and is extremely foreigner friendly. Perhaps you could elaborate on what you consider to be poor management and how the service you received was bad?

To better qualify your post it would also be helpful if you could name which other courses in the North of Thailand one would '..be better going..' to in order to receive better service and encounter better management?

I think the green fee quoted is for those that have a Thai driving license to confirm residence so be aware. Cart not really necessary apart from maybe the last nine in the height of the hot season.
