Using Ultrasurf Or Tor

Hello All

I have some problems connecting to some websites here in Thailand - mostly justin.tv which limits the number of users form each country. Therefore I am considering using a software such as Ultrasurf or Tor to gain better access to such websites.

Now, I am not a computer Wiz, and I'm not exactly sure how these programs work. However, my Anti-Virus (Avira) warns me against Ultrasurf. Plus I've found various articles over the internet which claim that both Ultrasurf and Tor are unsafe to use.

I wanted to Ask your advice in the matter. Are you familiar with any of these programs and think that they are safe to use?

i don't think you can stream video using Tor and its not correct use of Tor . UltraSurf is safe when I used it to circumvent the college firewall, I am not sure how it might be useful in Thailand.
