Here in New Mexico we have roach infestation they nest outside and then will come into the house for a night visit. 1 part borax to 1 part flour mixed and spread around the cabinets on the floor and around the toilet. The next morning you will see their foot prints were they have walked thru the stuff, leave it on the floor for a week and sweep up. This should take care of the problem for about 90 days and when you see them again repeat. The borax destroys the wax coating and causes the roach to dehydrate they also take it back to the nest.

This method is safer than the spray unless you have small children then you have to keep them out of it.
