Retired New Zealanders who decide to travel the globe will be able to claim their superannuation as they go.

The Social Assistance (Payment of Superannuation and Veteran's Pension Overseas) Amendment Bill was passed unanimously in Parliament on Wednesday.

How in NZ is Superannuation related to a Government Old Age Pension?

In Australia, Super' is a separate issue, usually an account which you contribute to during your working life and even though in some circumstances it may be classed as an asset which has a bearing on how much Government Pension you receive, it is not related.

I'm asking, as many Australians who wish to live overseas after retirement, have a hel_l of a time getting and maintaining their Old Age Pension.

NZ Goverment Super and Old Age Pension is the same thing....its called Super to be politically correct....cant be calling pensioners old aged .....or else the PC mob would come down on you like a ton of bricks ....now that you have a socialist government in Aus they will change the name to Super or something similar...will cost millions to change the name and branding...but hey you have to keep the PC mob and bludgers putting their snouts in the government trough
