Russian Tourist Drowns On Jomtien Beach.

Pattaya, October 26 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Sunday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sumet from Pattaya Police Station was called to Jomtien Beach after the body of a foreign tourist was spotted floating face-down in the water. The body was eventually recovered and identified as Mr. Andrey Astasyev aged 40 from Russia which was determined after a search of the victims belongings found on the beach. The man was seen to arrive with two other foreign friends, thought also to be Russian. They left first while Mr. Astasyev continued to swim in the sea. As yet, the exact cause of death is unknown but foul play is not suspected. A post mortem examination is now underway while his friends, who are known to stay at the Island View Hotel, have been informed of the death.
