Hello,

I am trying to find a way to record my voice to a CD or even just a file. I was referred to Windows Sound Recorder, but I couldn't get more than 60 seconds time, and the sound was very faint. It didn't seem very easy to use. Does anyone have another suggestion?

Thank you.

Get an audio editor program.

e.g. AVS Audio Editor 4.2

This will do everything you want and more!

Get the correct microphone to suit your PC.

The ones used for Internet Voice with headphones are best.

Some microphones don't have the correct impedance for use with a PC.

The one you have could be causing the faint recordings but

check that the recording volume/playback is set correctly.

Under control panel, go to sounds & audio then click on the voice tab.

You can set the recording and playback levels there.

After you have finished recording and saved the file, with the audio editor

you can transfer it to a CD with a Windows program

or with some fancy Nero software.

Good luck!
