Does anyone know of a decent hotel, fancy or not so fancy, in Maha Sarakham?

A workmate of mine from the US is going there on business and needs a hotel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have not found one as yet and always stay in Khon Kaen (70km away)

I stayed there 2 months ago and found an excellent hotel, infact up there with the best i've EVER stayed in anywhere in the world. Can't remember the name at the minute but its located on the same road as the shopping centre , KFC, Pizza company etc. I stayed in a suite for 1,800 per night, delux rooms 900 , the food is &lt;deleted&gt; but the rooms , or suites are superb. pm me if you need further info.

Yes ,there are two hotels,The Tagasila hotel (say it as it spelt) and The Wasu hotel in Mahasarakham,the Tagasila is the best one, possibly 4 star,both near the town centre

Suggest he tries Roi Et it is 25 miles (40km) from Maha Sarakham, however, unless he has a car it may be a it tricky getting to Maha Sarakham. There is the Roi Et City Hotel and the Phetcharat Garden Hotel 66 4351 9000 many farang stay there maybe because it is cheaper. If he wants to stay in Khon Kaen the Charoen Thani Princess 66 4322 0400 is fine and not expensive.

I will ask my gf today if she can recommend one, she lives in Roi Et. If so I'll post it.

My gf also recommend the Takasila Hotel it is 5 star

Thanks so much everyone. It seems the Taksila is the one recommended by the most. I think I'll suggest the this hotel for him.
