My Thai husband (who was my bf at the time) received his first TRV to Canada after his interview 3 years ago. It sounds like you are as prepared as we were. the interviewer basically said that everything that we had provided was not a guarantee that he would return as soon as he sat down for the interview(which I am sure was a scare tactic). She interviewed him for an hour and at the end said she was going to believe him and give him the visa and if he returned when he was supposed to, every TRV after that would be easy to get. Sure enough he has received 4 TRVs in total. The interviewer asked him if he wanted to live in Canada, he said no, (which was the truth) b/c he didnt want to leave his family, food etc. She asked him if he wanted to marry me, he said he wasn't sure (which was kind of a lie) and that he needed to meet my family etc first. He had no land, a modest job that paid him in cash, a bank account less than 6 months old and we didnt include a medical, although we did include a police check, neither of which are required for a TRV. We gave them a 30 page binder full of pictures, documents a letter from the head of his village stateing that his mother was dependent on him and the rest of the documents you have included. I think the reason he got it was for 3 reasons. I was also a teacher and had a contract that said I was returning to Thailand to start my job, he was in school as well getting his M6 at an adult education school, and his interview. Regardless of all the other documents we had I believe these three things are why he got it. But its good you included everything you did. In fact, after his first TRV all they took from our applications after that was the letter from both our employers and the letter from his school. He never had an interview after the first one. The interviewer also happened to be an older Thai women and that also helped in his favour.

Good luck and feel free to PM me.
