Hi!

Just spoke with my husband.

He is in Kuala Lumpur to apply for a tourist visa.

He has 4 TR in his passport already and when he was applying for a 5th today the embassy officer asked him if he really wanted a TR again since he seems to have been a tourist since 2008.

My husband said "yes please", and the embassy officer said "ok but after this one you can not get any more TR from us".

Just thought you should know.

There's been a few similar reports doing the rounds. It's almost like the embassy staff are now viewing the free tourist visas in the same light as they did the visa exempt stamps back in 2006 when they brought in the restrictions. Certainly seems like they don't like long stay expats whatever visa they use.
