November 8, 200916 yr The CBR 150 has a standard gear change pedal. Would it be possible, do you think, to change it to the gear pedal that they have on the Honda Sonic? The heel and toe type. Easier to use without ruining the left shoe of every pair of shoes I have. Anyone tried this already?
November 8, 200916 yr It would be easier to get a shifter skin to go on what ever shoes you are wearing. see here http://www.amazon.com/Shifter-Skinz-Motorc...s/dp/B001036KGO I also think that someone on mocyc.com was selling some. Allan
November 8, 200916 yr the shift skin looks good bt is the heel and toe type gear also possible? i also wanna know this..
November 8, 200916 yr Anything's possible, given the right engineering, the right fabrication shop, and lots and lots of money. Which you'd probably never get back when you decide to sell it. That's assuming you want it done right, and not having it fall off the bike on a nasty blind downhill left-hander just after midnight. If you decide to do it, best of luck to you :-)
November 8, 200916 yr i would say you would ruin the bike. The Cbr is a mini sports bike. it isnt a sonic. Imagine if ya going along at 120 and you stuff a gear change.........ummm splat.
November 8, 200916 yr I could be wrong.. But I think the CBR 150 accepts a sonic dual sided shifter.. 90% sure I have seen that on a supersonic (sonic with a CBR150 engine in) rat bike..

Not sure why a dual sided shifter would be more prone to screw ups ?? For a start you can continue to use just the front as a normal shifter.
November 8, 200916 yr Perhaps when that guy opens up his transmission to lube his gears he can give you a heads up as to the feasibility of your proposal?
