Dear computer experts !

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003 edition (NOT Outlook Express) to "pop3 in" my emails from gmail and other services. My OS is XP professional.

Got an Spy Bot warning "DNA tries to act as your server" - no idea what a DNA does n the computer world!! So I though it would be a good idea to make a Rollback RX snapshot before I denied DNA to be my sever.

Anyhow, after the snapshot I opened Outlook and saw strange happening:

1., Inbox does not show any of the previous (had about 40) and new messages, but all other folders work fine. I found out that the incoming mails will be in the "search folder" as unread messages. But whenever I read them, they will disappear afterwards (that is ONE thing at microsoft that complies with my logic).

2., Outlook will close down every 10 min. or so by itself with a warning message that Outook has encountered a problem and must be shut down. This is very annoying.

3., and this is VERY strange to me: When I go back to snapshots previous the Outlook problem appeared, Outlook has the same problems !! The first time that I see it happen that a rollback is not in the exactly state at the time the snapshot been taken.

4., Outlook gave me a repair message, clicked on it, but it would finish because I do not have a "disc" wanted.

I have saved the Outlook Data files (see attachment). Because I don't want to lose important mails from the last years, I must be sure that if I install Outlook new, the old emails are in the folders

Here my questions:

1., Is "Office data file" the correct file to save emails? I don't think so, because when I transfered this file to another computer, it will not show the mails from the troubled computer.

2., What could I do to get Outlook working properly again?

3., Is there a program better than Outlook to manage my emails with features of Microsoft Office and phone contacts updating?

4., Would one of you guys or girls send me a private message with phone number so I could call you and act step by step while on phone?

Thx. so much for your interest and possible help.   Leo

Windows Live Mail - is a direct replacement for Outlook Express.
