Thaksin's Great Mistake

Featured Replies

Either Thaksin is not as intelligent and crafty as many think or he has simply lost his edge with his recent alliance with the Cambodian government. He will be viewed as a traitor by the Thai people. I think maybe his ego is so big he felt the Thais would be jealous and beg him to come back. Now he certainly has lost any chance of regaining power in Thailand.

Never say...Never... :)

Don't be so sure of that!

People thought that after Songkhran. he just aint going away

...BUT shows his true intentions and character ever clearer!

I can think of 1 Taxi driver in Bangkok, who would happily shoot Thaksin

Just been speaking to my Wife and her family who live and work farms in Essan , they where previously supporters of Mr T but now they think that the tide will turn against him because of his job and relationship with Cambodia , most people are calling him a traitor and think he is trying to start more serious conflict between Thailand and Cambodia.

He may be playing at exposing freedom of speech issues internationally.

Or he may have lost his marbles.

For now, I would say he has lost his edge. In my area, there were many Thaksin supporters, until his Cambodian alliances came through. I can't speak for my entire area where I live, but I have heard many grumbles and current dislike of him. But, being Thailand, people forget rather easily. I'm not holding my breath.
