Transportation Around Pattaya

Featured Replies

Ok, I know the meter taxis are a scam.

But imagine the following situation, you are somewhere in the Pattaya backlands, like Nongprue / Mabprachan and need transportation to town.

What do you do?

Are there any taxi numbers to call to get a car pick you up?

Are there private taxi companies / drivers available?

If you used such a service, how much did it cost you?

Are there drivers willing to spend a day out driving around for a reasonable price?

What will happen if I call to a taxi guy like Mr T and ask for a car for the afternoon, something like 4 hours?

I beleive if you call Mr T for a taxi for the day or a few hours they will quote you a price for providing one unlike if you asked them for a pizza or a haircut where they might be confused.

Only kidding - Mr T charged me BHT.2000.00 baht for a day from Pattaya to Bangkok and back with several stops around bangkok over the day and couple of 2-3 hour waits.

Are you intending to spend some time where you are?

If so, you really need some transport of your own I would suggest.

Since when is Nongprue a backland? It includes Pattaya City and most of Jomtien.
