geriatrickid
Those "peaceful" redshirts at it again. Support them at your peril. How about we start with an accurate report first? When there was violence at the Cambodian temple site during the yellow shirt excursion, it was apparent, that the violent parties may have been sympathetic to the yellow shirts, were neither supported nor directed by yellow shirt leadership. I would suggest that the same holds here; that some idiots that may or may not be sympathetic to the redshirts may be implicated. For all we know it could be a dissident yellow shirt faction responsible. It certainly wasn't the redshirts that tried to assassinate the beloved PAD leader last time. I suggest we wait for a more reliable report. These stories tend to grow wings and fly taking on "fact" as they are repeated with each retelling adding more fanciful fact. Thank you Mr investigator that you could close the case so quickly,I'm sure that since you came to your conclusions that you have facts as well. So since this case is closed you may have some free time to solve another one.Can you please find out how it is possible if you sit in a car and some guys come to unload their automatic rifles, with a FEW HUNDRED bullet holes in the car, that the person inside the car walks away with some minor scratches.May this case be much related to the other one? basjke
sure - the redshirts have bad aim. Another example seen tonight. Sory but I think you didn't answer my question.Did the bomb throwers wear a red shirt? Why is it that the reds always commit those horrible things but are never able to kill someone?Especially when you make a few hundred bullet holes in a car and you can't hit the people inside there must be something wrong.Maybe the culprits are people wearing one colour shirt over another? Or did someone throw something from a long way away landing near the stage? Hundreds if not thousands of coppers, 10k/15k protesters, and 2 people on a motorcycle get close enough (50m) to throw a bomb into the crowd and get away? I get a feeling, the reports by about Wednesday will actually give a plausible explanation for what happened. And by Thursday, Pornthip will be on TV sporting a crazy hairdo. Hundreds if not thousands of coppers, 10k/15k protesters, and 2 people on a motorcycle get close enough (50m) to throw a bomb into the crowd and get away? The brief Bangkok Post report has it as one unidentified rider on a motorbike throwing a bomb/grenade (they use both terms) backstage while Sondhi was onstage. I believe Sanam Luang is basically flat open ground with some trees/bushes; that being the case, one would think it's not that difficult to get near enough to the rear of the stage to do the deed. katana
In the Matichon newspaper, they're saying Sonti had been speaking on stage for about 15 minutes when there was an explosion and smoke about 800m from the stage near the pavement in front of Wat Phra Gaew that leads onto the Lak Meuang shrine. Google maps gives the length of Sanam Luang as ca 580m, so 800m may be a bit out though, but anyhow it seems to have been some distance from the stage. DP25
It's quite obvious some of you doubters have never been to Sanam Luang before. It's a large oval shaped field surrounded by a ring road from which you could easily throw an object to anywhere in the field.
