scubachild
Does anyone have any experience of copyrighting their Thai company logo? Expensive to do? Worthwhile? Enforceable in the Thai courts? Thanks for any advice.
jazzbo
When you are talking about a logo that is not copyright law but TRADEMARK law covered by the Thailand Trademark Act which runs well over 100 Sections plus amendments... not as easy as filling out a form as claims must be made and defended before the Trademark Board. The best thing you can do for yourself today is to take several copies of your logo -- especially if prospective logo -- and send them to yourself registered EMS Thai Post mail with signature required and leave the envelopes unopened. You do not say whether your logo is a prospective one or one that is already used in commerce and is distinctive and recognizable ... makes a big difference.
