Accomodation And Sightseeing Questions....

Featured Replies

Hey guys, hope you guys can toss me some advice :).

Im curious on a few things....

Im travelling with my GF to Bangkok in Early Jan and plan to stay till Early May, with probably visits to Vietnam/Laos and Cambodia.

Im curious what do I definately need to see :D, I really want to do the elephant rides :D for sure... What beaches are a must go-to and see... and which ones have cheap accomodation? Im not sure what the normal is but I heard from a friend rooms are cheap.

Also concerning accomodation.... I imagine well spend a bit of time in Bangkok, and I dont want no fancy hotel... maybe just a 1 bedroom for me and my GF to share... could be a hostel even... Im curious what the rates would range from....

Anyways any tips would be great.

get the newest edition of asia on a shoestring by lonely planet - the best buy it for yourself, rather than borrowing from the library, because you will need it for long. Read it and make detailed notes.

elephant rides are everywhere tourists are.

avarage double rooms around 500 baht/night, depending on a quality, season and lenght of rent.

if you after a house, rather than a room, in bangkok, with air con, washing mashine, broadband internet, water filter etc, I have from 3k/week and 7k/month.
