Crime Gunfire Erupts During Restaurant Brawl in Bangkok’s Bang Khen District

Panic struck diners in a restaurant in Bangkok’s Bang Khen district during the afternoon of 12 June, when a heated altercation between customers escalated into gunfire, leaving one man injured. The incident occurred around 13:00 at a restaurant located on Phahonyothin Road in the Anusawari subdistrict. According to witnesses, a verbal dispute between members of a dining party suddenly turned violent, culminating in two gunshots being fired within the restaurant premises. One man sustained injuries as a result and was promptly assisted by emergency responders before being rushed to Paolo Kaset Hospital. Reports indicate that the victim remained conscious and was able to walk out of the restaurant unaided before being taken to hospital for treatment. At approximately 13:35, police officers from Bang Khen Police Station, including Pol. Lt. Col. Sarnpich Sirisuntorn and Pol. Lt. Col. Kosonpiya Sima, arrived at the scene to gather evidence and interview witnesses. Officers cordoned off the area for forensic examination and began collecting CCTV footage as part of their investigation. The restaurant’s owner, Mr. Prasit, spoke briefly to reporters. He confirmed that the incident occurred in the restaurant’s “Bua Luang” private dining room, where a group of patrons became involved in a shouting match that escalated quickly. “They were arguing quite loudly before someone pulled out a gun and fired two shots. The injured man was still conscious and managed to walk outside before rescue teams arrived,” Mr. Prasit said. Police have yet to confirm the identities of those involved or the motive behind the altercation. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to apprehend the shooter. Radio comms hobby: Weather satellite and ISS pictures, shortwave radio signals, space news
Today I modified my antenna, which was horizontal strips of 0.2mm thick and about 1cm large. My idea was that the signal comes from above and therefore I turned them horizontal. It seems however that this was not a good idea. In vertical position, a noaa15 pass was received better than the days before. Comparing the satellite picture on the right with the commercial weather radar website picture on the left, I would say, there is even more information in the noaa15 picture. Still my antenna setup is not optimal. I'm not getting the nice signal in the waterfall like you posted in the other thread. So here is a picture how the antenna should not be positioned - horizontally, but the metal strip should be turned 90° -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
Retirement visa comes with hassles of it's own. Such as the re-entry permit. I think it ends up being a lot more expensive too. Leaving every 180 days is not a big deal compared to the METV which required me to leave every 60 days. I don't plan to stay in Thailand more than 180 days a year anyways, so it's a good fit for me. -

Accident Tour Bus Involved in 13-Vehicle Pile-Up on Phetkasem Road in Prachuap Khiri Khan

A multi-vehicle collision involving 13 vehicles occurred on Phetkasem Road in Prachuap Khiri Khan province on the afternoon of 12 June, leaving three people injured and causing traffic congestion stretching over three kilometres. The incident took place on the southbound carriageway near a bend at Ban Thung Ko, Moo 8, Bo Nok Subdistrict, Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District, at kilometre marker 291+700. It happened during light rain and just 100 metres from the Thung Ko health station. Police Lieutenant Rattanaporn Thongjeen, an investigative officer from Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan Police Station, responded to the emergency call alongside rescue teams from Sawang Prachuap Foundation, highway police, provincial transport officers and highway department personnel. On arrival at the scene, authorities found multiple vehicles, including pick-up trucks, saloon cars, a six-wheeler and a tour bus, had collided in a chain reaction due to slippery road conditions. The crash initially involved a saloon car and a pick-up truck colliding, with the tour bus then ploughing into the rear of the vehicles ahead due to insufficient stopping distance. Additional vehicles following behind were unable to stop in time and crashed into the pile-up, bringing the total number of vehicles involved to 13. Spilled engine oil on the road surface worsened conditions and contributed to the subsequent collisions. Three people, two men and one woman, sustained injuries and were taken to Prachuap Khiri Khan Hospital. The tour bus was carrying 24 foreign tourists, 14 of whom had boarded in Bangkok and the remaining 10 in Hua Hin. Fortunately, none of the tourists were injured. The group was en route to Chumphon pier for onward travel to Koh Tao when the collision occurred. The size of the bus and its position blocking both lanes of the road led to a severe traffic backlog. Authorities worked swiftly to remove the wrecked vehicles and clean the roadway, completing the operation and restoring normal traffic flow within two hours.
