My Thai wife and I shall be visiting Europe this spring, we hope to start our visit in the U.K and then over to France, Holland, etc. Does the U.K. embassy in Pattaya issue visas (she's been to Canada 3 times should be no problem), and can we get a Visa that covers all countries in the Euoropean Union?

Don't know what is your nationality but your Thai wife will need two visas, one for the UK and a separate one for Europe, the Schendeng visa. Application for the Schendeng visa should be made at the country of you first expected visit in Europe. So if you go to England then next to Denmark, get the UK visa and apply for Schendeng at Denmark consulate.

The UK office in Pattaya is a consulate, not an embassy, and is located right next to the Thai immigration office in Jomtien. The fella who runs it, I forget his name, seemed very helpful the one time I spoke to him. Go and see him and he'll probably tell you everything you need to know about UK and Schengen visas.

As said, your wife will need a separate visa for the UK and for Europe.

For the UK she needs to apply in Bangkok. For where and how to apply, fees etc. see UK visa application website in Thailand.

For most of Europe you will need a Schengen visa which will allow you entry to any state in the Schengen Area. She should apply to the embassy of the country which you intend to visit first, although you can change your mind and enter the area via a different country once the visa is issued.

For an example of the procedure, see Visa application in Thailand from the Dutch embassy. Please note that although the rules and requirements are the same for all Schengen countries, the actual procedures may vary; so check with the embassy you are going to apply to.

If you you wish to visit any other European countries which are not part of the Schengen area, e.g. the Republic of Ireland, then she will need separate visas for them.

BTW, what is your nationality? You may need a visa too!
