Anne Wallwork
We are interested in holding a Thai Food Festival at our stores at Belper in Derbyshire, Dover in Kent and Lutterworth in Leicestershire. Can anyone suggest possible organisers of such events? We would like to hear from anyone with information as to how we can move this idea forward. ProfessorFart
Could you elabourate more on what you have in mind when you say 'Thai Food Festival'? Its a very ambivalent term as they could vary in size from the Battersea Park affair which is big, to a few food stalls. Maybe contact Thai restaurants in your area and take it from there. The Battersea festival works because there are something like 75-100 Thai restaurants within the orbital, then the festival-goer population, other displayers, etc. You could also do a combined thing, like the Anglo-Thai Festival in Morden last year. That is, hold the gathering under some other auspice with the restaurants as a sideline feature.
