Is Something Out Of Catty-wumpus Here?

Am I the only one that thinks there is something out-of-balance here.

This taken from today's "The Nation" article on the Thai Air Traffic Controller being held by Cambodia, for passing on open information regarding Thaksins plane flight plan. [no death of even minor injury}

"If found guilty, he would be sentenced to a 7-15-year jail term or fined 5-25 million Cambodian rials (about Bt50,000-Bt250,000) in accordance with article 19 of the Archive law."

And this

This taken from today's "The Nation" article on the chemical spill near Bangkok where there were death and injuries.

"He said such negligent behaviour carried a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine of between Bt2,000 and Bt3,000."

When you are in a foreign country , they have laws of their own that can(are) different to the ones you are used to in your home country , whatever those laws stipulate as being UNLAWFULL are and you should abide by them and face whatever consequences are stipulated . Not yours to reason why , just yours to do or die . SIMPLE
