Options For Mobile Internet Connection In Bangkok And Thailand?

Just wondering what are the options for connecting a mobile internet capable device to the internet in Bangkok and then in other areas of Thailand? I don't have a device yet but if I was to get one how much coverage could I expect in Bangkok? I would mainly be using it for email (gmail) and checking my Google AdWords account. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.
