The new breaking news caption at the top of the age is making my computer work like heck, it is continues to show downloads. Is there some option that I can do to get rid of it??

Thank You

Have you tried 'ctrl+F5' as that has helped others. Removing thaivisa cookie might also help.

Thanks I will try both

How have you determined that it is the news ticker that makes your computer work more? Which file is taking long to download?

Actually you right, I get the same when using IE. The file you keep seeing appear as to be downloading is this one: http://www.thaivisa.com/js/bkline.gif

I have the same problem in IE. The bkline.gif keeps loading in sync with the news ticker and the little hour glass next to the cursor keeps on blinking.

It even happens now while typing this reply.

Cleared cache and did CTRL+F5 all to no avail.

Started about 3 days ago. No prob in the past.
