People begin to return from Songkran celebration

BANGKOK: -- Hua Lampong Railway Station appeared to be crowded and noisy again early this morning as a lot of people, who went to celebrate the Songkran Festival at their hometown, have begun to gradually return to the city.

Most people, particularly from northeastern provinces, told a TNA reporter that they needed to come back earlier than scheduled because they could not find tickets for a return on a few days ahead.

They said train tickets, especially for a return to Bangkok, had been fully booked until April 18.

At the same time, there are some people who wait for a train to go to their hometown today because they could not do that in the past few days.

As well, a lot of foreign tourists have gradually traveled to the North following the Songkran celebration in Bangkok. The most popular destination to which they prefer to go is the northern province of Chieng Mai.
