Studying At A Small School

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I would like to study the Thai language, I am in Pattaya and would like to stay there.

I have heard that 180 hours of study are enough to apply for a 1 year ED visa.

Unfortunately the school is quite small, and does not have any experience getting a visa for me.

However, I really like the teacher and want to study there.

After some research I found that the only thing I need is an invitation from the school, which kind of information should be on this letter, and are there requirements for the school?

With this letter I should go to the Thai embassy in Laos, how long would this take? And are there any kind of arranged trips from Pattaya?

Thanks!

Probably why they're still small. PM me for some information if interested.

The school has to submit details of your enrolment to the Ministry of Education. They in turn will issue a letter addressed to the appropriate consulate confiming that the school is licenced. This bundle of documents is what you take with you to the consulate when you apply for your visa. You will only obtain single entry visa within the region, and then for extend at Thai immigration every 90 days. Apply at consulate in Laos morning Day 1 and collect in afternoon Day 2.
