Comparison - For Traveling To Work And Back

I may have asked this in other posts - but never asked directly what you think would be better (would love to hear from people who actually travel these roads on a daily basis kinda thing).

With the husband working at Amata city, i was thinking what will be easier (preferably faster) for him to travel.

1.From the outskirts of Pattaya (say Lake Mapbrachan, or maybe NaKluea.... areas BEFORE you actually go into Pattaya)

OR

2. From outskirts of Bangkok (eastern areas - BangNa, Bang Chak, Dok Mai)

I know it will prob still mean at least 40 - 60 minutes travelling time each way.

Someone mentioned Casalunar to us - apparantly between Pattaya and Amata Nakorn???? But then again - how far to closest International/good bilingual schools, etc.

Thanks heaps!!

Where exactly is your Husband working, Amata Nakorn in Chonburi or Amata City in Rayong ??

I live in East Pattaya and work at the Laem Chabang Deep Sea Port, my commute is 23km each way and takes approx 40 minutes, Amata City is 27km from Laem chabang, the traffic from Pattaya (Lake Maprachan area) will be a lot better than what i have to deal with so im going to guess an easy 30minute commute Amata City.

For Amata Nakorn, it is better to live in east Bangkok, Bang Na or even Chachaengsao. Living along the 34 Expressway is an advantage, because you can exit right at Amata Nakorn. Coming from the south side, the motorway is not as good, nor does it exit very close to the industrial estate. Even the Mabprachan Lake area to Amata Nakorn is almost a one-hour drive. In Pattaya, the good international schools are Regents and Best. You will have more choices in the Bangkok area.

I would say that given that the prevailing traffic direction is into BKK in the morning and out of BKK in the evening it would be better if you lived the Bangkok side of Amata Nakorn.
